Forever20/20 Extension Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This page is only about the Forever20/20 browser extension. It does not cover other websites, courses, or services.

2. What stays on your device

The extension stores its working state in browser extension storage, including:

• timer settings and selected phase
• onboarding state
• schedule state, timer state, and skip count
• local session history and total session time
• token state, if you choose to submit an optional access token

3. How Smart Pause works

Smart Pause checks two things locally: whether the active tab matches a supported meeting URL pattern and whether that tab is audible. It uses those signals only to wait before starting a break at the wrong moment.

Smart Pause does not send page content, message content, or full browsing history to us.

4. Optional token checks

If a verification endpoint is configured and you choose to submit an access token, the extension may send the token, a local install ID, a fingerprint hash, and basic browser or device details over HTTPS to verify access.

Those basic details can include browser name and version, vendor, platform, language, time zone, and capability flags. A successful response may include token expiry and approved profile fields such as approved name or approved email.

5. Optional analytics

If an HTTPS analytics endpoint is configured, the extension may send basic usage events such as session started, session completed, session paused, template selected, and total session time.

Analytics do not include URLs, page content, keystrokes, screenshots, microphone recordings, or camera recordings.

6. What we do not use data for

We do not sell personal data. We do not use extension data for advertising or for credit or lending decisions.

7. Security

When the extension sends optional verification or analytics data, it sends that data only to HTTPS endpoints.

8. Your choices

The core timer works from a clean install with bundled starter access. If you do not submit an optional access token, the extension does not perform remote token verification.
