Storage & Permissions
Forever20/20 Extension Storage & Permissions Notice
Last updated: April 19, 2026
What is stored locally
The extension uses browser extension storage for settings, timer state, onboarding state, local session history, skip count, and optional token state.
Why the permissions are needed
- storage to save settings and session state
- alarms to run scheduled reminders and retry later after Smart Pause
- notifications for break-related prompts, such as returning to a paused session
Where site access is used
The public build requests host access only for these supported meeting surfaces used by Smart Pause:
- Google Meet
- Zoom meeting URLs
- Microsoft Teams
- Jitsi Meet
This site access is used only to tell when the extension should wait before starting a break.
Cookies
The extension itself does not rely on browser cookies to run the core timer. Websites you visit may still use their own cookies independently of this extension.
